GCSE and A-Level exam time could be moved to fit in with Ramadan

Day by day... bit by bit... without any mandate from the people, Europe's gradual Islamification continues relentlessly:

The GCSE and A-level exam timetable could be altered this summer to offset the impact of Ramadan - the fasting season for Muslim pupils.

Subjects taken by large numbers of children - such as maths and English - could be brought forward to the beginning of the exam period in May or moved to a time of day when there would be the least impact on fasting Muslim pupils.

Are exam times are cultural marker?

Not really, I don't think they were written in the magna carta.

That would be a very considerate and positive move considering the amount of English Muslims sitting the exams this year....and it affects no one.

I applaud the progressive thinking of this thing that only COULD happen.

So the exams could be moved from during exam time to...... exam time.

So kids get a proper long summer holiday? And muslims don't sit any exams. What's the problem ridi? Haven't had enough attention lately?

They should have them at the normal time, but provide a bowl of tasty snacks on each desk for the poor kids.

If i refused to feed my children for a month during daylight hours I would probably be visited by social services and rightly so. Yet if you follow Islam then it seems to be ok for parents to starve their kids during daylight hours. Can someone explain the difference to me please.

Never understood why they don't jazz up those drab onesies a bit.

Maybe a gingham verson, or polka dot?

How about a front flap so Miriam and her mates can give the lads a quick tit-flash on the bus?

"Can someone explain the difference to me please."

Yes, we live in the 21st century, they are stuck in a medieval time-warp.

HTH.

Claret 9:28 - you are mistaking children for consenting adults. It's their choice.

Re: GCSE and A-Level exam time could be moved to fit in with Ramadan
Seeing as Muslim students aren't required to fast during this time unless they are members of particularly fundamentalist groups, this would seem like an attempt to make concessions to the very groups that our government professes to want to stamp out.

A great story for the Mail or Express to expose. They must be well pleased.
